“Teodor Melescanu, Romania's interim minister of justice, decided yesterday to provide prosecutors with the documentation received from Presidency Administration, concerning the 8 former and present ministers. But the minister mentioned he took no responsibility in the issue. The documents reached the Prosecutor's Office and the National Anti-Corruption Department yesterday, as confirmed by the Ministry of Justice“.


“The DGA (Intelligence Department in the Romanian Ministry of Defense) has become the most powerful secret service in the country after hiring people able to implant viruses in target computers and fight in IT wars. Two years after the military secret CD scandal, the Ministry of Defense established a department specializing in countering IT security incidents. General Francisc Radici, a chief of the DGIA, is head of the department. The Ministry settled over 3 million Euro for the special hardware and software equipment”.

“Yesterday after meeting with the Czech PM Mirek Topolanek in Prague, the Romanian PM Calin Popescu-Tariceanu claimed Romania was a full adept of the anti missile shield's expansion, wishing to take part in this project to be achieved not by making Russia hostile. According to the Romanian PM, Russia must be aware that it can be a partner of the NATO and the EU to see to the security of the continent and the world. The Romanian official mentioned that the US shield development was going to be one point of the agenda of the NATO summit due in Bucharest this year”.
